The following are some of the most frequent questions that we received related to the World Longest Cigar |
||||||
13. Did all the previous attempt or records done only in Cuba ? Answer: No, in Madrid, Spain - the first attempt in record to make a odd size cigar, was Antonio Ravelo Villanueva, a cuban cigar maker living in Spain since 1971. He set the record with a cigar 2.35 meters (7 feet and 8 inches). January, 2005 - Patricio Peña rolled a world record cigar measuring 62 feet, five inches (19.03 meters) -- at a vegetable market in Puerto Rico's capital, San Juan, and it has been hanging there in a plastic case ever since with a sign declaring it the world's longest in 2005. The sign doesn't lie, now that London-based Guinness sent him confirmation certificate. Click here to see previous records.
